Cindy Rost

Owner, Head Coach, Program Coordinator

WAG Intro to Comp Advanced, Level 2 TG, Coach Evaluator

Cindy began her coaching career in 1999 as the Pre-School Program Coordinator with North Peace Gymnastics in Fort St John, BC. Throughout her career she has worked with gymnasts of all ages and skill levels. Cindy and her two amazing daughters (Haillie & Brittney) moved to Kelowna in 2009. In 2011 she became a co-owner of a successful Rec. based gymnastics centre. In January 2017 she ventured out on her own and created the Synergy Gymnastics Centre. Cindy has a BA of Psychology, with a focus in Child & Sport Psychology, from UBCO and feels that this is just one more way to assist athletes on their road to success. Outside the gym she enjoys spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters, Ally, Mia and Kinsley, paddle boarding and enjoying all the Okanagan has to offer.

Haillie Soetaert

Head Coach, Competitive Program Coordinator

WAG Intro to Comp Advanced, Level 2 TG, CCP 6-8 Judge, Coach Evaluator

Haillie is a former competitive gymnast and competitive dancer. She began coaching in 2012 and has coached gymnasts whose levels ranged from pre-school to competitive. She enjoys coming up with new drills and progressions for teaching skills and is a valued choreographer. Haillie has a Bachelor of Science from UBC Okanagan and is currently working on her Human Kinetics degree. She and her husband are the proud parents of two beautiful little girls.

Tami Calkins

Tami brings an invaluable wealth of knowledge and skill to our coaching team and to the athletes she works with. Tami has been coaching for almost 30 years, and always looks forward to coaching all levels of athletes.

Ireland Jennens

Ireland is a graduate of the CIT program and has been coaching for a total of 8 years. She is a former Synergy competitive gymnast. She is at UBCO completing a Bachelor of Arts which will lead her into the Bachelor of Education. Her ability to connect to gymnasts make her invaluable to our team.

Shelynne Zlipko

Shelynne is a graduate of the CIT program and has been coaching for a total of 8 years. She is a former Synergy competitive gymnast. Shelynne enjoys coaching young gymnasts and helping them to reach their full potential.

Cori Calkins

Cori is a former competitive gymnast and has been coaching for 12 years. She has a Masters in Health and Exercise, and is now working towards a PhD is Kinesiology. Her ability to inspire the athletes she works with makes her invaluable to our team.

Aida Hedstrom

Aida is in her third year as a coach. Her love for working with kids helps her be a well rounded coach for many levels. She recently started a general studies in the sciences at UBCO, hoping to specialize in zoology.

Jaala Peterson

Jaala is a coach with a lot of enthusiasm, sense of humour and endless pool of energy. This makes her the perfect coach for our younger athletes. Her positive attitude and dedication makes her a valued team member.

Cassandra Ritchie

Cassandra is very passionate about gymnastics. Her passion, and love for the sport make her a great coach. Cassandra's two daughters are members of our CCP team. This will be Cassandra's second year coaching.

Genesis Caicedo

Genesis is going into her second year coaching. Her patience and work ethic makes her a great role model for her athletes. She loves gymnastics and shows that in passing her knowledge onto her athletes.

Emmaly Jenn

Emmaly graduated the CIT program, and this will be her first year as a coach. She has been apart of our club for 8 years and is currently a CCP Level 6/7. Her enthusiasm for our sport makes her a great coach.

Reese Sanders

Reese graduated the CIT program, and this will be her first year as a coach. She is in her sixth year of gymnastics. Currently she is a CCP 6/7 athlete. Reese is hard working and has a great sense of humor.

Ada Jilek-Rodriguez

Ada graduated the CIT program, and this will be her first year as a coach. She is in her fifth year of gymnastics. Ada is currently in our Xcel Competitive program. She is a positive role model for all Synergy athletes.

Jlynn Quesnel

Jlynn has a diploma in Contemporary Dance. She used to be a competitive dancer and a competitive figure skater. This knowledge makes her a well rounded coach. She is in her second year coaching. Her daughter is on our Xcel Competitive team.

Morgan Jacoby

Morgan is one of our amazing young Coaches In Training working within GBC's CIT program. She has been doing gymnastics for 10 years and is also a member of our Competitive CCP Level 7 team.

Kate Hawley

Kate is one of our amazing young Coaches In Training working within GBC's CIT program. She has been doing gymnastics for 6 years and is also a member of our Competitive CCP Level 6/7 team.

Darcy Angus

Darcy is one of our amazing young Coaches In Training working within GBC's CIT program. She has been doing gymnastics for 3 years and is also a member of our Competitive CCP Level 6 team.

Olivia Alvez

Olivia is one of our amazing young Coaches In Training working within GBC's CIT program. She has been doing gymnastics for 7 years and is also a member of our Competitive CCP Level 6/7 team.
